About the service

Cavities — like a hidden fault in your car: you’re still driving, but inside, a part is already breaking down.

At first, it’s a minor issue that can be quickly “fixed” — pain-free and without complicated procedures. But if you put it off, the problem spreads, and treatment becomes more extensive and costly — from root canals to crowns.

Treating caries early keeps your teeth healthy, prevents complications, and extends their lifespan — all while requiring fewer interventions and costing significantly less.

At Evora, every treatment is tailored to you — designed to preserve as much of your natural tooth as possible while delivering a reliable, long-lasting result.

We use only technologies that have proven their effectiveness in modern dentistry worldwide.

ICON — Drill-Free Treatment

Used in leading clinics worldwide as the gold standard for early cavity treatment.
Effective at the earliest stage — when a cavity appears as a spot on the enamel, but no actual “hole” has formed yet.
Completely pain-free — no drill, no fillings.
Perfect for patients who have just finished orthodontic treatment.
Stops caries from progressing before complications arise.

Composite Fillings

We use only the finest composite materials available today — ones that won’t darken, resist wear, and deliver long-lasting results.
Placed for caries affecting up to 40% of the tooth surface.
We match the filling to your tooth’s color, making it virtually invisible.
We restore your tooth’s natural shape so it looks and functions just like your own.
Ensures long-lasting results — typically 5–10 years with proper care.

Ceramic Inlays

Stronger and more durable than composite fillings, ceramic inlays are used in cases such as:
when more than 50% of the tooth is damaged and precise restoration of its anatomy is needed.
when adjusting the bite, where a stronger, more durable restoration is required.
when it’s important to create a tight contact with the neighboring tooth to prevent food from getting trapped.
They accurately replicate the tooth’s shape, maintain a stable color for years, resist wear, and help preserve bite height. With proper care, they typically last 10–15 years.

Diagnosis

We always perform a photo record, X-ray diagnostics, and a caries test to detect every bit of decay and leave nothing unnoticed. No anesthesia or drilling is needed.
/ 03

Treatment

For comfort and safety, we use a rubber dam to isolate the tooth from saliva and protect the oral tissues from harsh substances. Next, we apply three solutions step by step: the first eliminates bacteria without harming the enamel; the second seals the affected area on the tooth; and the third coats the tooth surface, creating a protective layer. The entire procedure takes up to 90 minutes, depending on the number of teeth being treated.
/ 03

Aftercare and Follow-Up

After the procedure, the dentist always takes a photo record — so you can immediately see that all affected areas have been fully treated. The dentist also provides personalized care instructions and schedules a follow-up checkup in three months.

The ICON method stops cavities from progressing at the very earliest stage

It’s suitable even when multiple teeth are affected — a single session can prevent cavities from spreading to 10 or more teeth. The procedure is comfortable, painless, and significantly more cost-effective than traditional fillings.

Composite Fillings

Diagnosis

Before the procedure, we always perform X-ray diagnostics (a periapical image or CT scan) to determine the depth and extent of the caries. This ensures the best treatment method is chosen and nothing is overlooked.
/ 06

Preparation

Before starting, we always take a photo record to document the tooth’s condition prior to treatment. For your comfort, we place a single-use OptraGate (a latex retractor that protects your lips and cheeks). Anesthesia is administered if needed.
/ 06

Treatment Process

Using specialized burs and handpieces, the dentist removes all affected areas of the tooth while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. A photo record is then taken so you can see that the decay has been fully eliminated and the healthy tooth structure preserved.
/ 06

Tooth Restoration

We select the shade of the composite material to match your tooth. To isolate the tooth from saliva and protect the oral tissues, a rubber dam is placed. This ensures a tight seal and long-lasting results — saliva cannot seep under the material, preventing recurrent decay. The dentist then restores the tooth’s anatomical shape layer by layer, using materials with varying density and structure for optimal results.
/ 06

Polishing and Bite Check

The dentist checks your bite to ensure the filling doesn’t cause any discomfort while chewing. The surface is then polished to make it smooth and resistant to plaque buildup. The result is a filling that feels just like your natural tooth.

Diagnosis

Before the procedure, we always perform X-ray diagnostics (a periapical image or CT scan) to determine the depth and extent of the caries. This ensures the most effective treatment is selected and nothing is overlooked.
/ 07

Preparation

Before starting, we always take a photo record to document the tooth’s condition prior to treatment. An impression of the affected tooth is made to capture the exact shape for the future inlay. For your comfort, a single-use OptraGate — a latex retractor that protects your lips and cheeks — is placed. Anesthesia is administered if needed.
/ 07

Treatment Process

Using specialized handpieces and burs, the dentist removes all affected areas of the tooth while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. Next, the cavity shape is assessed, sharp edges are smoothed, and the base is leveled.

The final step is a photo record, so you can see that all decay has been fully removed and the healthy tooth structure preserved.
/ 07

3D Scanning Procedure

After preparing the tooth, we perform 3D scanning of both dental arches, allowing us to accurately record your bite. The doctor then immediately creates a temporary plastic inlay to protect the prepared tooth, maintain aesthetics and comfort in everyday life, and preserve function until the final ceramic inlay is placed.
/ 07

Laboratory Stage

Using 3D scans, we model the tooth’s anatomical shape to ensure proper chewing function. The ceramic inlay is then milled or pressed in specialized equipment, guaranteeing strength and resistance to biting forces. The final step is glazing and polishing, giving the inlay a natural shine and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
/ 07

Placement of the Permanent Inlay

For comfort and safety, a rubber dam is placed to isolate the tooth from saliva and protect the oral tissues. This ensures a tight seal and secure placement of the inlay. The dentist removes the temporary inlay, fits the permanent ceramic inlay, checks its fit, contact point, and bite alignment, and then firmly secures it in place.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Caries Treatment

Does Treating a Caries Hurt?

No. We use modern anesthesia and treatment techniques that make the procedure comfortable and pain-free. For particularly sensitive patients, we can offer additional comfort measures.

Is It Possible to Treat a Tooth Without Drilling?

Yes — if the caries is at an early stage. The ICON method allows treatment without a drill, filling, or drilling — completely pain-free. It’s ideal when only a spot on the enamel is visible and no actual “hole” has formed yet.

How Long Does a Filling Last?

Composite fillings typically last 5–10 years with proper care. They maintain their color, don’t darken, and look just like your natural tooth.

Is It Possible to Treat Multiple Teeth in a Single Visit?

Yes. During a single visit, we can treat multiple teeth — it’s safe and convenient, especially when affected areas are in different locations. The ICON method even allows treatment of up to 10 teeth in one session.

What Happens If Treatment Is Delayed?

Caries spread from the inside, and if treatment is delayed, the damage will deepen. This can lead to:
- root canal treatment,
- ceramic inlays,
- crowns,
- much more expensive procedures.

Early intervention allows the tooth to be fully preserved and prevents complications.

How Much Does Caries Treatment Cost?

Prices start from 3,000 UAH, but the exact cost depends on the depth of the cavity and the treatment method — ICON, composite filling, or ceramic inlay. During your consultation, you’ll receive a clear treatment plan and final price with no hidden fees.

How Long Does a Ceramic Inlay Last?

Ceramic inlays last 10–15 years or longer. They maintain their color, resist wear, help preserve proper bite height, and feel just like your natural tooth.

What’s the Difference Between a Composite Filling and a Ceramic Inlay?

Composite Filling — ideal when up to 40% of the tooth is affected. It looks natural and lasts 5–10 years.
Ceramic Inlay — used when more than 50% of the tooth is damaged. It is stronger and more durable (10–15 years), precisely replicates the tooth’s anatomy, and withstands heavy chewing forces.
